I have been waiting for incredible vacation and it came true as my “bachelor gift”… It was sailing experience with amazing cruise named Sapphire Princess. The route was Singapore – Penang – Langkawi – Port Kelang, KL – Singapore for 5 days 4 nights. Sapphire Princess has 18 decks (re: floor) with 3 parts; forward, midship, and aft. They have one thousand crew members with full passengers are three-thousand. I will not be able to share every single detail of the cruise because I was not able to look around to all places in the cruise, tho. By the way, it was 50th Anniversary of Princess Cruises, so I got quite affordable price on February 9th – 14th 2015 and there was many special events held on cruise *lucky me*
So in here, I will share a bit about the general issue… Especially for those who will have first experience on cruise like me 🙂
On the day, we will have check-in at harbor. We can do self-walk, means that we bring all luggage by ourselves. Or we can give big luggage to the staff with tag hang on it. It is like check-in at the airport; showing the passport and boarding pass or ticket. Then, put our luggage into screening machine. There are many staff who welcome and direct the passengers. No need worry, just ask them when we know nothing. After that, there is medical check through simple questionnaire to make sure the passengers in health condition or not.
Next, we do boarding. It’s like re-registration to make sure everything and we will get Princess Cruise Card, also the map. Then we wait until our turn to embark. Before we go in to the ship, there is “card” re-check. The staff will scan it and take a picture of us.
p.s: we have to give our passport on embarkation day and they will give back on disembarkation day, so our “card” is very important during the vacation with a cruise
Wanna see inside this big ship? How about the activities during sail-time in the cruise?
To be continued…..
